Catch-up Kids to reach their milestones

They help prevent child milestone delays and help them to reach them in a comfortable way.

On the 26th of August, Aldeia Wellness Centre hosted a Catch-up Kids workshop at the Roodepoort NG Welsyn office in Witpoortjie.

Social workers and daycare mothers attended the event to hear what Melineze Christie, occupational therapist; Nadine Botha, speech and language therapist; Sumé van Aswegen, a remedial therapist, and Cherié Schutte, specialist wellness practitioner and director of Aldeia, had to discuss.

They presented interactive presentations to assist the caregivers with specialised care in preventing milestones delays and also how to help the children reach their milestones in the best way possible, in the vulnerable communities they serve.

“The goal of the day was to empower individuals working with vulnerable children to enable milestone development and identify milestone delays, each milestone is important and our mission is to provide compassionate and high-quality therapy services in an enriching and enjoyable environment where all children thrive,” Cherié said.
