Cross-country athletes hailed for achievements
Nyakallo qualified fourth out of 109 athletes, while John qualified ninth out of 127 athletes, and Matthew came in sixth out of 83 athletes.
The King’s School West Rand has congratulated three of its learner who competed in the D12 Cross-country Meeting that was held on Friday, 23 August at La Salle College in Discovery.
The three athletes, Nyakallo Modise (Grade 4), John van Druten (Grade 4) and Matthew Pretorius (Grade 7), made the cut after being placed in the Top 10 after three different meetings that were held throughout July and August.
Nyakallo qualified fourth out of 109 athletes, while John qualified ninth out of 127 athletes, and Matthew came in sixth out of 83 athletes.
Their school applauded the three long-distance runners for achieving these fantastic results.
