Blue Bottle Liquor Store on CR Swart Road in Wilro Park was hit by armed robbers this morning, Wednesday, 28 August.
According to a source at the scene, three assailants, two of them armed with firearms, robbed the store of an undisclosed amount of money and liquor. They are said to have escaped in a silver Toyota Hilux.

In previous robberies at this store lives were lost, but fortunately this time the owner and his staff were unharmed, albeit extremely traumatised.
The previous owner, Duncan du Plessis and an Apcan Security reaction officer were tragically shot dead during a robbery in September 2017.
Various security companies and the Roodepoort Police were at the scene this morning to investigate the crime.
