This Maths genius achieves at Victory House private school

Matthew has been top achiever at Victory House private school since Grade 4.

 

With an average of 95,5 per cent, Matthew Bouwer, a Grade 12 learner at Victory House Private School, has been one of the school’s top achievers in Mathematics since Grade 4.

Mathematics has always been one of Matthew’s favourite subjects, “I found a liking for this subject when I was seven years old, and it has never changed.”

In 2016, he participated in the Computer Talent Search and received a gold certificate. He has also had the honour of receiving a bronze and silver President’s/ Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and is hoping for a gold this year.

He was a participant in this year’s Sci-Bono Maths week challenge and achieved an overall third place in Gauteng.

Matthew has also participated in the Mathematics Olympiad since Grade 9, and recently took part in the SAIPA Olympiad as well as the Proverto Accounting Olympiad competition.

But, that is not all – he is the school’s top achiever in Maths this year, and has received a best in subject award from the school.
