Woman and child hit by car after collision
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations
A woman and her two-year-old child were injured when they were hit by a car just after a collision on Christiaan De Wet Road in Radiokop, Johannesburg.
ER24 found the mother and child lying in the centre of the accident scene. One light motor vehicle was found in the oncoming traffic while the second vehicle was found in the middle of the road.
Paramedics found that both the mother and two-year-old had sustained moderate injuries and the drivers of both vehicles escaped injury.
The two patients were treated and thereafter transported them to Lenmed Randfontein for further care.
Whist on route to the hospital, The child’s condition rapidly deteriorated and the medics provided treatment before she was handed over to hospital staff.
