Office chair Pilates to keep you moving

Charlotte Jean, a clinical nutritional therapist from Better 4 Life Institute, was the guest speaker and facilitator at the Health & Wellness workshop which was held at Hirsch’s Strubens Valley recently.

Hirsch’s public relations officer, Dorette Nel, summarised what the workshop entailed.

“Charlotte demonstrated various Pilates exercises which can help you stay fit and keep you moving throughout the day,” she said.

“If you do not have time for gym and you spend a lot of time in a chair, behind a computer or at a desk, these exercises are perfect for ensuring that you move enough during the day and stay healthy,” she said.

“Charlotte also demonstrated different breathing techniques and exercises that can help us through stressful situations and help our minds to stay clear and focused,” Dorette added.

Charlotte had this to say about her programme: “When we do not move enough throughout the day, we become foggy and forgetful and our blood circulation tends to slow down. Therefore, it is imperative to drink enough water throughout the day and take deep breaths to keep us in good shape”, she advised.

Before the end of the workshop, the brand ambassador for AEG demonstrated the new 60cm steam oven, the latest addition to the AEG range.
