Various law enforcement agencies flocked to Ontdekkers Road on Thursday, 15 August, to raise awareness about safety.

The operation involved the Roodepoort Police, the West Suburbs Neighbourhood Watch, Patrollers, the Johannesburg Metro Police Department, and Gauteng Traffic Police, who handed out traffic infringement fines to lawless motorists.
Among the prominent officers on the scene were the Roodepoort Police station commander, Brigadier Zoleka Khuboni; the station’s spokesperson, Captain Juanita Yorke; the social crime prevention co-ordinator, Constable Shumikazi Mbuli, and the Sector 1 manager, Sergeant Innocentia Moeketsi.
