Kaizer Motaung Junior was born on this day, 8 August.
He is a former South African striker for the Premier Soccer League club Kaizer Chiefs.
He is the son of South African soccer legend and Kaizer Chiefs founder, Kaizer Motaung.
Motaung is said to be an excellent cricketer.
In 2000, he opened batting with Middelsex and England player Nick Compton at the Harrow versus Eton clash at Lords. In that match he got a century, but the match was called off due to rain.
He also played against Graeme Smith who was at King Edward High School.
Motaung played football for Wits University and Kaizer Chiefs youth academies in South Africa, and for Chelsea and TSV 1860 München juniors in England and Germany respectively.
At the Chelsea youth academy, he and Dean Furman were in the same team.
When he was promoted to the TSV 1860 Munich reserve team, he scored one goal in four matches in his debut season in the 2001/2002 Oberliga Bayern season.
In 2003, he signed with his father’s club. He made his debut on 17 December in a 4–0 win over Zulu Royals.
