Club needs funds to make players’ steel bunk beds

Zandspruit-based football club, Golden Drifters FC, is appealing to businesses and organisations to assist them with monetary donations to build steel bunk beds for their new players.
The club, which plays in the SAB league, has a clubhouse which is used to accommodate the players during the season.
However, due to new signings, the club is in need of additional beds to cater for the players.
“The club is asking for a donation of R1 200 to build at least three bunk beds for the players staying at the clubhouse. There is a place we buy steel from. The cost of steel per bed is R310 excluding VAT. When purchased, management uses the steel to make the needed beds,” said the president of club, Proud Shoko.
He added that they accept donations from as little as R10.
Interested parties have been asked to make donations through the club’s bank account.
