Zandspruit boxing makes its debut at first tournament
The young boxing club from Zandspruit is proud of its female boxer, MP Maseko, whose fight against her opponent was chosen as the Best Ladies Fight of the day.
The boxers from the UJAB Boxing Club in Zandspruit participated in their first competitive boxing matches on 22 July at the Gauteng Development Tournament. The tournament was hosted by Gauteng West Boxing Organisation at the Witpoortjie Vikings Boxing Club.
The day commenced with a weigh-in that lasted from 8am until the scale closed at 9am, and once the matches started, no one was allowed to weigh-in.

Nkosinathi Mashaina and Lebojoah Lethoba both put up brave fights but unfortunately both of them lost on points.
The newly opened UJAB Boxing Club is the only boxing club in Zandspruit, and welcomes any support in the form of funds and equipment to help its boxers improve.
