Pitso Jingles Mosimane was born on this day, 26 July, in 1964.
He is a former South African football player and the current coach of Mamelodi Sundowns.
Mosimane is said to be one of the longest serving and most highly rated coaches in South African soccer.
He has won several major trophies with SuperSport United between 2001 and 2007.
In 2010, Mosimane was named as the new head coach of South Africa. He had been an assistant to former coach Carlos Alberto Parreira at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and was handed a four-year contract.
During 2007, he served as the caretaker coach of South Africa for seven games.
In December 2016, Mosimane was ranked as the 10th best coach in the world for 2016, according to the International Federation of Football History and Statistics.
He also won the Coach of the Year accolade at the 2016 Glo-CAF in Nigeria, after guiding Mamelodi Sundowns to league glory in 2015/ 16 and claiming the Telkom Knockout trophy.
