He is known for his lead role as Roger Murtaugh in the Lethal Weapon film series. He also has leading roles in the films The Color Purple, To Sleep with Anger, Predator 2, and Angels in the Outfield, just to mention a few.
Glover is best known for being an active supporter of various political causes.
While attending San Francisco State University, Glover was a member of the Black Students’ Union, which, along with the Third World Liberation Front and the American Federation of Teachers, collaborated in a five-month student-led strike to establish a Department of Black Studies.
Before transitioning into theatre, he worked in city administration, focusing on community development.
In 2010, Glover delivered the Commencement Address and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from Utah State University.
