Dancer wins multiple medals overseas

Kaydon, who is part of the Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy, made it to the grandest stage of them all after topping over 20 000 competitors from 54 countries at their country qualifiers.

 

The King’s School West Rand Grade 9 learner, Kaydon Baggott, has returned from the world stage with multiple medals he won at the Dance World Cup held in Braga, Portugal from 28 June to 8 July.

Kaydon, who is part of the Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy, made it to the grandest stage of them all after topping over 20 000 competitors from 54 countries at their country qualifiers.

The tournament is world-wide all-genre dance competition for children and young adults.

Kaydon performed in three dance groups – the Jnr Precision Crew, Empire Crew and Rebellion Crew – and was awarded three gold medals and one bronze.
