Chatroom celebrates member’s birthday
Charlene’s party was also to celebrate a life which has been spared by God following an agonising period in her life when the cancer was rearing its ugly head.
The West Rand Chatroom is all about making its members and visitors feel special, and the recent meeting on Saturday, 13 July was no different. In fact, it was extra special for one of the cancer survivors.
Charlene Hoffman had a birthday celebration like no other when she celebrated her 48th birthday with fellow members of the Chatroom.
Charlene’s party was also to celebrate a life which has been spared by God following an agonising period in her life when the cancer was rearing its ugly head.
Presently, she is currently living proof that cancer can be beaten. To celebrate her birthday, the members sang ‘Happy birthday’ to her and brought her a beautifully decorated cake, featuring her name.
In return, she spoiled everyone by booking caterers to provide a meal for all the attendees.
“This is just to say thank you. You are family to me. I’ve built so many relationships here and this group has been a great motivation in my life. I thank everyone on the WhatsApp group for providing inspirational words when I was at my lowest,” she said.
The next meeting of the Chatroom will be held on 17 August.
