Trap donated to capture ‘Bobby’ the baboon

Ward 89 councillor, Amelia Bester, has welcomed the donation of a brand-new baboon trap as the search continues for ‘Bobby’, as he has now been dubbed.

“Thank you to our community member, Gary Klette, and his team from Williams Hunt Roodepoort Isuzu, for this great gesture,” she said.

Amelia said another trap (smaller in size) has been set up in the Land’s End/ Davidson Street area by Cora Bailey from CLAW.

However, ‘Bobby’ seems to be playing far away from the traps, as he was spotted sitting on a hill overlooking 14th Avenue in Constantia Kloof recently.

Once captured, CLAW will transport ‘Bobby’ to a safer area, according to Amelia.
