CCTV footage has emerged of an attempted hijacking and robbery on Dion Street in Helderkruin.
The incident happened on Wednesday, 10 July and according to reports received, the attempt was made by the occupants of an old shape gold Jetta.

In the video, two people can be seen running into a yard, while the car they came in drives away slowly. The two people are seen running out the yard, towards their car. They enter the car and it drives off.
The car was later spotted by motorists, crossing over Ontdekkers Road heading towards Princess and surrounding areas.
The Record is still awaiting comment from the Roodepoort Police.
