Golden Drifters plead for funds to buy a vehicle

The Golden Drifters Education Development Foundation and Sports Development Academy is a non-profit organisation (NPO) that aims to empower the youth of Zandspruit, Cosmo City and Muldersdrift through education and various sporting disciplines.
The NPO has nurtured many youngsters through its offerings, bringing hope to their lives and steering them away from the socio-economic issues such as crime and drugs, which they tend to become involved in at tender ages.
The organisation offers competitions which children can attend at regional, provincial and national levels. However, it has no vehicle, and this has cost many talented children the opportunity to attend some functions, and they end up losing out on opportunities.
As a result, the organisation, directed by Proud Shoko, is appealing to organisations, businesses and corporates to help them raise at least R100 000 to purchase a vehicle, thus removing a major stumbling block from their lives.
