This comes after JRA conducted a site inspection at the corner of Nick Toomey Boulevard and Main Reef Road, and then erected signage and road markings indicating that motorists should reduce speed to a maximum of 40 kilometres per hour as the road was collapsing. However, a few days later, the signage was stolen.
JRA stated that it is not yet known how long the road will be closed for.
