The day West Rand boxing fans have been waiting for has finally arrived.
Today, Friday, 28 June, Team Dida Boxing Promotion will be hosting the much-anticipated boxing tournament, which has been dubbed ‘The Day of Reckoning Reloaded’ at the Kagiso Memorial and Recreational Centre in Kagiso.
The main fighters in the tournament, Thato Bonokoane and Innocent Mantengu, who will be going against each other for the vacant South African Junior Featherweight title, promised fans world-class boxing during their recent press conference.
Thato’s trainer, Dida Dipheko implied that it was all systems go for this evening. “Everything is in order, we are just waiting for the tournament to take place,” he said.
He also mentioned that the tournament will be broadcast live on SuperSport 9 (SS9).
The tournament starts at 6pm and tickets will be available at the door.
