The Bill Stewart Tournament is an inter-regional tournament with all regions across the country being represented.

The West Rand Primary Schools Football Association (WRPSFA) held its annual presentation ceremony on Wednesday, 19 June in the Barry Kidson Hall at Constantia Kloof Primary School.

The WRPSFA, which manages school football on the West Rand, currently has 30 schools participating in the league, with teams ranging from U/7 to U/13.

The league will be sending two representative sides to the Bill Stewart Primary Schools Football Tournament in the June/ July school holidays. The two teams are Protea and West Rand.

The Bill Stewart Tournament is an inter-regional tournament, with all regions across the country being represented.

The tournament will be held at Camp Discovery, just outside Pretoria, and will be hosted by the Football Association of Pretoria Primary Schools (FAPPS) from 25 June to 1 July.

Deon Moyce, chairman of WRPSFA said, “This tournament is a great opportunity for the players to be exposed to the rigours of tournament football as well as offering a test of endurance and ability. It is much more than just football, as the boys will make lifelong friendships and the togetherness forged by being in a team will teach them good life lessons.”
