Update on the water shutdown

According to Rand Water Media Relations Manager, Justice Mohale, the work on the B11 Pipeline remains on target.

“The Rand Water network is operational and stable and all our reservoirs are meeting demand. We also have not received reports from our municipal residents of interruptions to the service due to the work being done; however, we are monitoring this situation very closely,” Mohale said.

Mohale also mentioned that a Rand Water ‘War Room’ that has been established to oversee the shutdown is continuously monitoring the network.

Mohale stated that he will continue to update residents with the progress of the pipe installation. Resident are urged to continue using water sparingly.
