Promising young footballer ready for Europe
At the age of 17 years, Luke caught the attention of the Orlando Pirates Academy coach, was offered a chance to attend trials and later offered a contract.
Twenty-one-year-old Luke Adams started his career at a club called Florida Albion. Initially, it was more of a social activity aimed at kick-starting his career as a young player, but it soon turned into so much more.
Luke started playing soccer at the age of seven and played at the club till he was 15. In his time at the club, he achieved many things and played for the district team every year from the age of 11, until he left the club.
Luke said, “It was a very sad time for me to be leaving my club as it felt like home, but I needed to make a decision, I was approached by Bidvest Wits, who had a team in the first division, and offered a contract to play in the academy.”

At the age of 17 years, Luke caught the attention of Orlando Pirates Academy coach and was offered a chance to attend trials and later offered a contract.
After moving to Randburg FC from Pirates, he stopped playing soccer for six months and just kept fit till another opportunity came by.
Luke then heard of the open trials at the Nike Academy, and happy that he had kept fit, he attended and went on to be selected.
One of the coaches at Nike Academy was also a coach at Kaizer Chiefs, so Luke joined the Chiefs and played there for one full year. It was then that he heard about Fieldoo and that’s when his focus changed to Europe.

Fieldoo is an agency that develops interesting young footballers. They are based in Europe and hold trials all over the continent. Luke will leave for Europe on 22 July.
Luke has an agent with contacts in Europe, who organised a trial for him in Spain. Another agency picked him up too, and offered him a trial in Portugal. He will be going to Portugal for the third time on a final trial.
Luke is currently working with young coaching sensation, Tevin Blignaut, who is an accredited coach, a certified strength and conditioning coach, and a Sport Science Masters student to get himself into a good physical condition.
