Hip hop dancer goes to Portugal

Mia to represent South Africa at the Dance World Cup in Portugal.

Mia Early-Robertson will represent South Africa in the Dance World Cup in Portugal.

Mia began dancing at the age of four, starting with ballet. She then moved into contemporary dance and in 2012 discovered her love of hip hop and joined the highly rated Mario Gomes Hip Hop Dance Academy in Noordheuwel.

Mia was part of the successful South African team that participated in the world championships held in Croatia and has now qualified with her large and small street crews, Sovereignty and Authentic, to represent her country again at the highest level at the Braga Portugal Dance World Cup.

Mia is a Grade 10 learner at Maragon School and plans to study medicine with a focus on anaesthesiology.

Dance has always been her passion and outlet and she will most likely continue with this. She goes to Portugal representing herself, Maragon and South Africa proudly.
