The suspects who were arrested for conspiring to commit an armed robbery in Kagiso on Tuesday, 11 June, are expected to appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court within 48 hours. This was confirmed by Colonel Lungelo Dlamini, the provincial police spokesperson.
The four are currently being questioned as they are suspected to be part of a gang involved in serious and violent crimes.

Two suspects were killed during a shootout with the police on Main Reef Road during a chase. One of the other suspects was wounded and is under police guard in hospital, while three others were arrested with no injuries suffered.
Four firearms and two vehicles were seized. One of the vehicles that was driven by the suspects is said to have been reported hijacked in Meadowlands.
They will be charged with conspiracy to rob, possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of unlicensed firearms.
