Honeydew Police, in conjunction with various law enforcement agencies, recently conducted a Visible Policing (Vispol) operation called O kae molao (Where is the law?) during which numerous successes were made.
According to the Honeydew crime-prevention commander, Colonel Johan Theunissen, two roadblocks were conducted, during which a total of 476 vehicles were searched and traffic fines totalling R31 160,00 were issued to lawless motorists. He also said six possibly stolen vehicles were seized during the operation.

The operation moved to different areas of the precinct, and a total of 1 248 people were searched. Three people were arrested for possession of drugs. They then pounced on non-compliant liquor dealers, closing down a shebeen and confiscating a total of l35 610ml of liquor.
The operation concluded with a counterfeit goods operation where several thousand items, including belts, takkies, handbags and watches, valued at a total of R7 million were seized too.
