Residents invited to Discovery Community Forum’s AGM
Four key positions will also be filled
Community members are invited to attend the Discovery Community Forum’s (DCF) annual general meeting (AGM) on 3 July.
The meeting will be held at the Rainbow FM Radio Studio, Sauer Street, Florida at 7pm. Elections for the forum committee will also be held.
Marion Kelley, DCF committee member, explained, “The committee consists of 10 members, made up of four key positions (chairperson, vice-chairperson, secretary and treasurer) as well as six supporting positions.
Only paid-up DCF members are eligible to make nominations and vote, and only paid-up members can be voted in as committee members. To be eligible to stand for chairperson, the nominee must have served for a minimum of two years on the committee. One year’s service on the committee is needed to become vice-chairperson.”
Nominations for committee appointments must be submitted, in writing, to the DCF Secretary, Sue Blair, on sueblaircollection@vodamail.co.za. Nominations should be received by no later than 26 June.
