More roads in terrible state in Radiokop

D Govindjee from Radiokop, writes:

I am writing this letter in response to the letter from Anonymous, under the heading ‘Amplifier Street in horrific condition’ dated 3 May.

Paul Kruger Road between Christiaan de Wet Road and Amplifier Street is also in a terrible state. This is the newest road in Radiokop. Soon after the road was completed it developed potholes. I have been reporting these potholes to the JRA almost every other month. Immediately after the rain, the pothole reappears.

The council spent several million rand of tax-payer money to build this small stretch of road. I am not sure who signed off on this road, but I think the contractor should be forced to rebuild it.

Does the council have guarantees on workmanship?

What is also disappointing is that the thousands of motorists that use this road, including council officials and politicians, do not bother to report road issues to the JRA.
