Honour Academy fighters do well at The Tiny Titans.

The outstanding performances by the HKA fighters, and their achievements on the day, spoke for themselves.

The young guns at the Honour Kickboxing Academy (HKA) took part in the Tiny Titans and Ladies’ events in Brakpan on 6 April.

In the boys’ category, JP van der Mescht was awarded one silver and one bronze medal, while Tiaan Fourie collected two silver medals.

The girls’ category was dominated by Zanel van Eeden, who won an impressive two gold medals and Britney Swarts, who won two silver medals.

Steve van Eeden (the Club’s owner) said, “I am very proud of our Tiny Titans fighters. This will develop and prepare them for the future. The aim of the Tiny Titans is to develop and build confidence in upcoming, developing fighters and prepare them for future participation in tournaments and National Kickboxing Events.”

But they did not only do well at the tournament – some of the dedicated students also participated in a grading event where they were tested to see if they could advance to the next colour belt.

The following HKA fighters graded:

• Lynette Fourie (red belt)

• Michelle van Eeden (red belt)

• Tiaan Fourie (red belt)

• Bianca Blignaut (red belt)

• JP van der Mescht (yellow belt)

• Ryan Boshoff (purple belt (3))

• Jerome Oberholzer (brown belt (3))
