The Ebenezer Psychiatric Home is a NPO that takes care of fully functional mentally ill adults who have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. They cannot afford private healthcare and have no option but to live off monthly disability grants paid by the South African Social Security Agency, but grant renewals are not guaranteed.
