The death, according to the Johannesburg West standby duty officer, Constable Takalani Matumba, is believed to have been caused by injuries that the deceased sustained after being hit by an object on the head, although other reports indicated it was due to an alleged cardiac arrest.
Takalani said the perpetrators escaped the property with jewellery, car keys and a gold Corsa with the registration HD 51 CP GP. She added that the suspects are still at large.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators should contact 08600 10111.
