“When an opportunity knocks on your door, always be willing to take a chance, because you never know how perfect something could turn out.” These are Qeanen Lesley’s words of advice.
At the young age of 24, Qeanen’s talent for dancing has earned him the opportunity to be featured on a music video with an elite international star, known as Drake, but it does not stop there. He has featured in a music video with a Nigerian reggae dancehall singer and songwriter known as Patoranking. He has also worked with some of South Africa’s best musicians.
Davidsonville’s very own talented Qeanen said, “I have been very blessed with opportunities. This is just the beginning of my career in the entertainment industry.” He has recently scored himself a job as a DJ on one of the leading radio stations on the West Rand, Kofifi FM.
Qeanen is also a well-known choreographer and has been part of a few television productions such as Street Cred and Gauteng Let’s Dance and 1’s and 2’s.
“I have also been asked to be a judge at the talent competitions held in my community. I am so honoured to be recognised by the elders and also the youth. I would say that the secret to reaching your goals in life is to push your passion and perseverance. When you want something, do not stop until it has your name on it,” he added.
