Welcome to the Northsider, Thabisile!

My name is Thabisile Mgwali. Although I now live in the Witpoortjie area, I was born in Fort Beaufort in the Eastern Cape and raised in Port Elizabeth (EC).

I attended Muir College Boy’s High School in Uitenhage (EC) where I passed Grade 12. I played 1st team rugby, and was a house captain and a patrol leader for the school’s hiking club. I graduated with a Diploma in Journalism from the Independent Institution of Education’s (IIE) Varsity College.

I am excited to be joining the Roodepoort Northsider/ Roodepoort Record team at the Caxton Joburg West offices as a sports journalist, and am looking forward to the challenge of reporting on and associating myself with the community and its activities.
