Two people sustained injuries yesterday, 28 April, in a collision at Shortmarket Street in Newlands.
According to Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer from Netcare 911, paramedics responded to reports of a collision at 11.24pm.

“Upon arrival at the scene it was established that a minibus taxi had collided with a light motor vehicle. Two patients sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to a hospital for further assessment,” he said.
The cause of the accident is not known yet, but local authorities were on scene for further investigation.
