A neighbour walked into the 52-year-old’s body, who was known as Patrick Mokgalagadi , covered in blood and lying on his stomach in the kitchen of his house.
He was shot in the forehead, according to photos seen by the Record. This was also confirmed by police.
The motive behind the killing could not be established at the time; however, locals suspected the killing to be a hit as the deceased house was not ransacked.
“I don’t know what really happened. I was going to work when I saw his place with lights on and the door wide open, and upon looking inside I found him lying in the pool of blood,” the neighbour described the moments before witnessing the shocking scene.

The Dobsonville Police spokesperson, Mzwakhe Xazi, reported that the killing was under investigation and no arrests had been made as yet. However, he also alluded to fact that the area had a spike in murders and illegal firearms.
“We must say we are worried about Bram Fischerville because we’ve been receiving a number of murder incidents and illegal firearms, but police are working very hard to arrest and recover the firearms in that area,” said Xazi.
He also appealed to the community to be their eyes and ears, “We are also appealing to the community to assist us in providing information about the cases of murders in the area,” he said.
Xazi encouraged the community to tip them off on 08600 10111 or by SMSing to Crime Line to 32211.
