WATCH: Easter fun for St Laurence’s children
They had loads of fun at the Easter Festival

A total of 24 children from the St Laurence Childrens’ Home were treated to a day filled with fun, laughter and loads of chocolates.
The group was invited to join the Easter Festival which took place recently at the Westgate Super Regional Shopping Centre, and they were treated like royalty.

To start the festivities, each child received a number of tickets which they could spend at the outdoor carnival, having fun on the various rides.
Once they were finished , they were escorted to the Magic Company, where they received some tokens to spend on some of the awesome games. The best part of this? They could keep all the tickets they won and use them to choose some great prizes.
The children also had the opportunity to join The Carnival Company on their parade through the shopping centre, accompanied by stilt walkers, a marching band and dancers, ensuring everyone was entertained.
The day’s activities were concluded with a scrumptious lunch at the West Peak Spur Steak Ranch, and, before the children left, they each received a goodie bag to take home, filled with some yummy chocolate goodies.
Richard Malan from St Laurence’s, said “We want to thank everyone who made this experience possible for our children. We had a lot of fun.”
