The complainant, Anton Dekker (the photographer), felt the driver of the vehicle was disrespectful to the handicapped community.

The driver of a food delivery vehicle was heavily criticised by a patron after he allegedly parked the vehicle in a parking space meant for disabled persons.

The photograph of the Delfos Meat and Chicken vehicle was taken at Clearwater Mall at 12.30pm, on Tuesday, 16 April.

The complainant, Anton Dekker (the photographer), felt the driver of the vehicle was disrespectful to the handicapped community.

“Have [they] employed a handicapped delivery driver, or are [they] just a typical, arrogant company that does not care for the community that makes it rich?” he asked after throwing the incident into the spotlight.

It is unclear at this stage whether the driver parked the vehicle on purpose or to be closer to their delivery point.

However, the company was approached to have its say on the matter, but had not responded before we published the article.
