Residents to face charges if found with a bridge meter

If any bridged meters are found, the city's bylaws will be enforced

Ward 71 councillor, René Benjamin, shared a post on Facebook to notify residents of Roodepoort that City Power, together with a few companies, will be embarking on meter audits today, 15 April.

“A total of  4 000 pre-paid consumers in the Roodepoort area will be audited today, which will continue until Thursday, 18 April. If any bridged meters are found, the city’s by-laws will be enforced.

The following companies will participate in the audit:

• Rivisi

• Mathoho

• Ngwato

• Sphandile

• Leoka

• KLZ&TTM

• Tshehlane

• Bvelela

• Imbawula

• Kubahki

• Zabest

• Lefhumo

• Lufuno Kone

• Yande Engineering

• D&S Project

Residents should note that employees of all the above companies will have access cards and will be travelling in marked vehicles. They will also be wearing personal protective equipment. The work will be done on Forcelink.
