It was a show and shine at the ‘Best in the West Park-off’
‘Best Sound Installation’, ‘Best of Show’, ‘Best Wheel’, and ‘Low Limbo’ were named.
Cecil Payne Stadium was packed with dazzling cars as classic car enthusiasts came to show off their most prized possessions.
The event was hosted on Saturday, 6 April and the purpose was to help raise money for the renovation of the Astroturf soccer fields at the stadium. There were a number of entrants in the vast variety of categories, which included ‘Best Sound Installation’, ‘Best of Show’, ‘Best Wheel’, and ‘Low Limbo’.

Children were kept entertained on the jumping castles and the various food stalls sold eats such as rotis, boerewors rolls, pap, braai meat and vetkoek rolls to keep everyone’s tummy full. The DJ kept the crowd on their feet with pumping music and the day’s activities were concluded by the presentation of cash prizes to the various category winners.
