Motorcycle and scooter owners around Witpoortjie slept with one eye open this past weekend as the number of motorcycle thefts continued to rise.
At least three motorcycles were reported stolen in the area last night, Sunday, 7 April.
A screenshot of footage one of the thefts was circulated online by one of the victims.

It is unclear whether it is a syndicate targeting the homes of motorcyclists; however, owners are advised to secure them as much as possible during the evenings.
