Sheltered pups need your help through Tails and Trails

Nadine's amazing work has already five dogs adopted from Claw.

Tails and Trails, currently run and financed solely by Nadine van Zyl, is looking for your assistance in raising funds for its GoFundMe campaign. Nadine, who has a deep, never-ending love for dogs, officially founded Tails and Trails in February this year when she took the first shelter dog from Community Led Animal Welfare (Claw) for a walk on 10 February.

She has since taken a total of nine shelter dogs out for walks at either Emmarentia Dam or Delta Park, and then profiled them on social media in hopes of getting them adopted. This has proved successful too, as (at the time of writing) a handful of the dogs had already been adopted.

However, as much as Nadine and her friends are able to bear the brunt of the load when it comes to financing her gear (such as leashes and snacks for the dogs on the walks) at the moment, Nadine will ultimately need some assistance from the community.

In an effort to alleviate the stress of the load they have to carry, Nadine’s friend, Fernando Moreira, and her brother have launched a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe for Tails and Trails. “At the moment her gear is either funded by her or borrowed while she saves up and we felt like we wanted to contribute somehow,” Fernando said.

If you would like to contribute to the worthy cause, you can visit the Tails and Trails SA Facebook page and find the link to the GoFundMe campaign there, or visit GoFundMe directly here.
