Escalating your queries just got easier

City Power network queries will be managed by them

Battling to get assistance with your electricity-related query after it has been logged? Tired of not receiving a satisfactory answer on the status of your query?

Don’t despair – City Power has an answer.

In an effort to improve service delivery and transparency, Area Managers have been appointed by City Power to manage the maintenance of the City Power network in your area.

These managers are highly skilled professionals and have been mandated to interact with you on all electricity-related matters, from power outages to fault logging.

Once you have logged your query, either through the call centre (0860 562 874) or on the website (www.citypower.co.za or www.citypower.mobi), you will receive a reference number. You need to allow for sufficient turn-around time for your query to be resolved before contacting an Area Manager.

If you do not receive any response or are dissatisfied with the outcome, you should escalate your matter to the Area Manager in your region.

The contact persons for the Roodepoort area are as follows:

• Noel Maso is the General Manager for the North. His contact details are: 071 861 9242 (cellphone), 011 490 7593 (office) or nmaso@citypower.co.za.

• Sipho Gamede is the General Manager MAOS. His contact details are: 083 704 9355 (cellphone), 011 490 7780 (office) or sgamede@citypower.co.za.

• Rakefa Makgoro is the General Manager for the South. His contact details are: 083 704 9336 (cellphone), 011 490 7827 (office) or rmakgoro@citypower.co.za.

• David McMahon is the Roodepoort Area Manager. His contact details are: 083 279 6233 (cellphone), 011 470 3630 (office) or dmcmahon@citypower.co.za.

City Power is confident that the quality of interaction with the entity will be enhanced by the involvement of the City’s Area Managers and that a reduction in turnaround times will be seen. Performance gaps will also be addressed.
