The woman, a mother of two children under the age of 15 years, was struck by a taxi on Nic Diederichs Road near Taylor Road, just before 8am. While many motorists didn’t stop and simply drove around the woman lying in the road, a handful stopped to block cars from driving around her body.
The woman was cremated in Lenasia on Sunday, 17 March, and now her family members have reached out in a plea for community members to come forward if they witnessed the accident or possibly have any dash cam footage that they could use to ensure the culprit is brought to justice. If you witnessed the accident, or possibly have footage thereof, please feel free to contact family friend and representative, Mukesh Mahto on 074 865 5903.
