The Roodepoort Record and Roodepoort Northsider are looking for a journalist to join the Caxton Local Media West Rand Branch team.

Requirements:
• A degree or diploma in journalism will be to your advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Afrikaans
• Must be an all-rounder able to cover all types of news including hard news and investigative stories
• A minimum of 5-years’ experience in a similar environment
• Computer literacy
• Candidate must be willing to relocate to Roodepoort
• Must be willing to work weekends and overtime
• A solid understanding of deadlines and an ability to work well under pressure are essential
• A valid driver’s licence and own roadworthy transport are compulsory
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team
