Family and friends will be commemorating the disappearance of three-year-old Liyaqat ‘Lee’ Mentoor, who vanished without a trace one year ago.
On 16 March, it will be a year since Lee went missing, and the community is invited to join a candlelight vigil which will be held at 5pm for 5.30pm.

“We will start at 35 Bottlebrush Street, Roodekrans, where Lee initially went missing. We will then walk along the route Kaylah ran on that day to find her son. Please wear comfortable shoes as it will be a walk of approximately two kilometres, and bring some candles,” said Estelle Delport, the family representative.
She concluded by saying, “We have no closure. No family should ever go through what we have gone through this past year, not knowing what has happened to their child or losing a child.”
