Footage depicting a man easily breaking into a Ford Fiesta emerged on social media this morning, Tuesday, 12 March.
In the incident, which is reported to have taken place in the Honeydew area, the man is seen tampering with the driver’s side door and subsequently walking towards the boot which he opens and quickly closes after being interrupted by passers-by.
The video suggests that someone noticed the criminal activity taking place as people start gathering in front of the car while some point in the direction in which the criminal escaped.
The Intelligence Bureau SA alerted motorists to avoid leaving any valuables in their cars. “Ford vehicles are being targeted. Please do not leave any valuables in your car. The syndicate is able to open your Ford without a key,” the alert read on Facebook.
