Charter College’s Grade 9 learners added a new feature to the school’s garden when they completed a display of plants in the bases of empty plastic bottles.

On 7 March, the Grade 9s cut off the bases of empty 2l Coca-Cola bottles with the aim of re-purposing them to make a new feature for the school’s garden. They cable-tied the plastic bottle bases to some chicken wire which was attached to an old pallet, put some soil in the them and followed that up by planting some plants in the mini-gardens.
