Five injured following three-vehicle collision on Christiaan de Wet
The incident occurred shortly after 1 yesterday afternoon.
Shortly after midday yesterday, 9 March, three vehicles collided at the Christiaan de Wet Rd and John Vorster Rd intersection.
The vehicles which were involved in the collision, a bakkie, car, and taxi all collided at the intersection opposite the Rock Cottage centre. According to ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak, a total of five people sustained minor to moderate injuries because of the collision.
“One person from the light motor vehicle sustained moderate injuries and was taken to Life Fourways Hospital,” he said.
He added further that four people from the taxi were treated for minor injuries and transported to hospital.
While the cause of the accident was not known to ER24, other reports suggest that the light motor vehicle rear-ended the taxi while the bakkie collided with the back of the light motor vehicle.
