A case of murder is being investigated by the Honeydew Police Station following the death of a man believed to 25 years old. He was allegedly killed by an angry mob in Cosmo City on 6 March.

Initially, the Northsider reported that the attack happened in Zandspruit after the man allegedly fired shots at security officers.
However, the spokesperson for the station, Captain Balan Muthan, clarified the exact allocation of the incident.
“On 6 March at 12.50pm on Lilongwe Street in Extension 20, a victim who was approximately 25 was found with a burning tyre around his neck and various injuries on his body – probably the victim of a mob,” he explained.
“The victim was lying face up and wearing only a pair of underpants,” Muthan went on.
He concluded by saying that no witnesses came forward when the police arrived.
