Residents of Zandspruit were greeted by a gruesome incident after discovering a burnt body of a man in the early of today, Saturday, 2 March.
The body in which the upper body was burnt beyond recognition was found at the local sports ground.
According to Ward 114 EFF Secretary, Gift Mkasi, the body could not be identified as yet and the reasons for the brutal killing was unknown to the community.
However, the forensics department were on scene to collect the body where it was set alight and dumped.
“We call on the community at large with information to approach the Honeydew Police Station to assist in getting the culprit/s to book,” Mkasi urged, after condemning the incident.
Police have been approached for comment.
