Judokas bag more than 20 medals at championships
‘I am very proud of every judoka that participated’
Judokas from KJK Judo recently competed at the Gauteng Judo Championships and did extremely well.
The championships were held at Wits University and every participant not only held their club’s name high, they also made their coach, Sensei Katja Bruwer, very proud.

The judokas brought home a total of 22 medals, as follows:
• Keegan Diab, Britni Jordaan, Christelle Goliath, Dewald Schultz, Harm Venter, Juvan Abrie , Erich Pretorius, Rynard Hall, and Nico Pieterse all brought home gold medals.
• Louw Schultz, Dewald Schultz, Tyla Stacey-Hale, Hanco Breet, Oabile Molefe, Ferdinand van den Heever, Hendrik Alberts and Raydon Diab all came home with silver medals.
• Christiaan Theron, Moagi Molefe, Gerhard Schultz, Jacques le Roux and Kyeren Bartman all garnered bronze medals.

Harm Venter (Junior and Senior category), Dewald Schultz (Cadet and Junior category) and Shawwal Bagaria (Cadet Girls) were also selected to be part of the National Team that will be competing in the upcoming Africa Championships.
Katja concluded by saying, “Congratulations and well done. I am very proud of all the judokas who participated!”
